Saint Basil’s Cathedral

Commissioned by Ivan the Terrible from 1555 to 1561, the cathedral’s colorful “onion domes” decorate the southeast end of Moscow’s Red Square. The coloring in this photograph is beautiful. The ombre orange and pink sky just blends perfectly with the terracotta paint on the Cathedral, and makes the colors in the domes positively pop.
Saint Basil’s Cathedral is one of my favorite buildings to admire in photos and ranks in my top five churches that I’d like to visit. Anyone up for vodka and caviar?

That is an amazing photograph. I bet that would be a fantastic candidate for some top-notch HDR photography!
